Eldon Trépanier's Suspension

“Suspension”

ree

A glimpse into an alternate dimension, Suspension gives the impression of a still frame—like time itself has momentarily paused, allowing us to peer into a dream that floats just out of reach. A flamingo curls protectively around a glistening bubble, where a ladybug stands mid-crawl, suspended in motion. Nearby, a wide-eyed bee drifts close, while a surreal clownfish with orange slices for fins swims effortlessly through the air, as though it's always belonged there.

Originally untitled, Eldon once considered naming it Slice of Life—a playful nod to the citrus-finned fish—but it was the quiet, lingering stillness of the piece that inspired Suspension.

Bursting with the surreal charm and imaginative detail that defines his work, this painting doesn’t just invite you in—it invites you to stay a while. To wonder. To float, if only for a moment.

Have a beautiful day!
